You can find seven golf courses in Port Charlotte and hiking trails at Tippecanoe Environmental Park where you can also view wildlife through 380 acres of pine and scrub. Charlotte Sports Park is also where the Tampa Bay Rays and Stone Crabs conduct their training. For those inclined into bowling, you can find 2 bowling alleys there. There are lots of recreational places to enjoy such as miniature golf courses, car shows, movie theaters, and spots for fishing, sailing, kayaking, boating and other water sports. Explore the Visani Comedy Club, the Cultural Center of Charlotte County, YMCA, Charlotte County Fairgrounds, and the Sun Flea Market.


There is no downtown where you can just walk. Traffic here gets heavy when residents arrive during their winter season to avoid the cold weather. Some just stay for a seasonal vacation and rent places to stay for the duration of their holiday.If you are planning to relocate in Port Charlotte, you may want to consider the lifestyles of residents.
