SoHo

SoHo Tampa is an abbreviation for South Howard Avenue located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Tampa. It is an entertainment district with main cross streets such as Kennedy Boulevard considered as SoHo’s starting point, Platt Street, Cleveland Street and Swann Avenue.

In 2009, a small park was opened at the southern part of the district in honor of Bern Laxer, the late founder of Bern’s Steakhouse. You will find a sculpture called the “Three Graces” at the center of the park along with a lighted fountain which was the first in Tampa to utilize recovered water. Also in 2009, small companies emanated using NEVs (Neighborhood Electric Vehicle) to offer shuttle service to those enjoying the nightlife between principal neighborhoods which includes SoHo and Channelside. read more…
